Publication on Home Survival in Wildfire-Prone Areas

A new paper by Stephen Quarles, Yana Valachovic, Gary Nakamura, Glenn Nader, and Michael de Lasaux explores the link between building considerations and the ability of a home to survive a wildfire. The risk of fire-spreading embers can be reduced by wisely selecting building materials and creating a "defensible space" around the home.
