This fire hazard assessment was developed for homeowners living in the wildland-urban interface, or WUI. Living in the WUI may mean that your home is at increased risk from wildfires. However, there may be steps that you can take to mitigate that risk. The assessment results provide guidance on possible improvements that you can make to your structure and immediate vegetation, as well as routine maintenance, that may reduce your vulnerability to wildfire.

To complete this assessment, you will need provide answers to questions about your home. We have provided a link to a printer-friendly version of the form that you can print out and use to write your answers on before entering them into the form.
Once you have answered the questions online, click the submit button, and you will get a customized report based on your answers to the survey questions. The report groups your answers into high, medium, and lower categories. Answers that received a high rating are the most important to deal with, and although answers falling into the lower category may not require immediate attention, you should monitor these items because the results will differ as your home ages and your yard changes seasonally and annually.
This assessment is intended to help homeowner's mitigate wildfire hazards on their property. The survey does not take into account the effect of nearby wildlands or other homes. It is important to note that the survey and possible solutions to any questions do not guarantee your home will not be harmed in a wildfire event.
